Who am I ?
I thought it would be nice telling you something about myself as long as this blog is new and I would like to let you know me better.
So who am I?
I am Jelena, a Latvian girl, from Riga, who 8 years ago has gone to Italy to study opera music.
So who am I?
I am Jelena, a Latvian girl, from Riga, who 8 years ago has gone to Italy to study opera music.
I am still in Italy, I am still improving my vocal technique, but many other beautiful things have happened to me during this time!
I lived in Milan, Rome, visited many other cities and saw the beauty of architecture, art and nature, tasted wonderful Italian food to finally get to Alba Adriatica, a small sea town on the Adriatic Sea.
I have met the love of my life and I have found a new passion - jewelry making!
I love art in all it forms, nature, travelling, reading books, watching good films and of course I love animals!
I love to be inspired and I am grateful to the destiny that I have 2 ways for expressing my creativity - singing and jewelry making. I feel fortunate!
In my creations I love to use seed beads, precious and semiprecious stones, Swarovski crystals, real Italian leather, soutache, metals, lace, fossils and many other rare and unusual materials.
My favorite techniques are bead embroidery, leather tooling and lately soutache bead embroidery.
My favorite stones to work with are labradorites and moonstones.
My favorite colors at the moment are natural, pastel grade colors.
What are my dreams?
To be happy and to give happiness! To live my life always in the contact with art, to sing in theatres and to continue making my jewelry. My dream is to have kids, and a cat, and a dog, and a place like garden for example where to run and play with my family... And I will fulfill this dreams, I hope!

A new logo and its concept, a new blog and just WELOCME!
Hello everyone! This is my first post in this new blog so I think I should present myself a little bit.
My name is Jelena, I am 29 and I am a jewelry designer, an opera singer and a student from Latvia, but living, studying and working in Italy for a long time already.
Italy is a country of culture, art, music, fashion and worldwide known brands. It is so inspiring to live and create here! Inspirational ideas are all over in the air!
Architecture, nature, beautiful animals, rare paintings, ancient cities like Rome and Pompei... All you need here is just bring with you your inspirational diary and draw...
In my creations I love to use seed beads, precious and semiprecious stones, Swarovski crystals, real Italian leather, metals, lace, fossils and many other rare and unusual materials.
You can find all my jewelry creations in my ETSY shop named Oh My Muse Jewelry. And today I would like to explain you my shop's and logo's concept, because just like this blog also my logo is new!
All started with an idea of a new name for my Etsy shop, I was not satisfied any more of just Elena Gioielli, first of all because it was in Italian, so not very clear for an international audience and the second reason was a fact that this name didn't reflect what I wanted to comunicate with my jewelry.
And what I wanted to comunicate is that all women are muses. The one is so different from the other one, but it does not mean that she is less beautiful or less inspiring. Like the 9 greek muses, every woman has its own particular talent and gift. I hope that my jewelry will be able to underline the uniqueness of each of us, women. In this way, we can be an inspiration to others, as the true Greek muses, but in the modern era.
The result you can see in the begining of this post, I really hope you like it!
